The hands-off dog parenting approach of yesteryear doesn’t cut it anymore!

Raising a well-adjusted companion in this day and age requires a keen understanding of canine cognition, patience, and consistency.

In many cases, dog parents have the basics down; they just need some guidance to take their dog’s behavior to the next level. In these cases, teaching their dogs manners and cues with the help of a trusted dog trainer sets the dog and their family up for successful communication and cohabitation.

In other cases, dogs present challenging behaviors such as leash reactivity, destructive chewing, separation anxiety, or counter surfing. These behaviors require intervention and behavior modification. From crate training and puppy proofing to counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement, a knowledgeable dog trainer can teach pet parents to better manage and/or redirect unwanted behaviors to achieve positive outcomes and restore harmony in the home.

At Dog Days Pet Care, we do all of the above!

Dog Training Done Right

Trusted Dog Training in Central Suffolk on Long Island

“Our journey with Khloe, my rescue pup, took a great turn under the guidance of Pam. Right from the start, Pam’s approach stood out – within the first five minutes, Khloe was happily enjoying treats from her hand instead of her normal reactive and scared self when others enter the house.

Previously, we had another trainer tell us she might not ever be able to be fixed. Yet, under Pam’s patient and tailored guidance, Khloe’s confidence has exceeded expectations, especially during our neighborhood walks. Pam’s expertise and dedication have made a world of difference for Khloe and our family.

We highly recommend Pam from Dog Days Pet Care for your dog. If you’re seeking a trainer who understands and supports both your dog and you, give them a call!”
